Surf with sandpiper

Last October I got up at dawn to paint this scene at Assateuague National Seashore.

I used a 9x12 board, divided into 3 sections. I started at the top at 6am looking straight out to sea, the middle scene about 7:30 looking slightly north and the bottom at 10 facing south. They were all done from the same spot on the beach.. It was a good morning.
